About the role
The Impact & Delivery Officer will play a key role in researching, developing, delivering, and deploying solutions, services, and projects that address skills challenges in the engineering and manufacturing sector. This role would suit a Project Manager/Officer with experience in the charity, skills, education or similar sector.
This role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of both digital and non-digital solutions, from initial idea through to implementation, impact evaluation, and—where appropriate—retirement. Working closely with the Impact & Delivery Manager and cross-functional teams, including policy, engagement, research, sector intelligence, and shared services, the postholder will help ensure measurable and sustainable impact in line with Enginuity’s mission, strategic objectives, and Theory of Change.
The Officer will also support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the charity’s existing portfolio of solutions, including digital products, while ensuring effective deployment, impact measurement, and compliance with established project governance and Charity Commission requirements.
What you’ll be doing
Solution Development & Deployment
- Support the deployment and enhancement of products and services, ensuring they meet sector needs, maximise impact, and follow internal governance processes.
- Contribute to the creation of new solutions addressing skills gaps, using innovative technologies and partnerships.
- Coordinate project ideas through governance processes and assist in preparing implementation plans, identifying and managing key risks.
- Lead delivery and maintenance of Enginuity’s digital products, working with Marketing, IT, and Project Delivery.
Impact Evaluation & Strategic Alignment
- Review project ideas and impact assessments to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Assist in evaluating proposed projects and services before development, ensuring all solutions have clear impact measures.
- Gather, analyse, and report on impact data, producing recommendations for improvement and completing end-of-project evaluations.
- Collaborate with Marketing to promote Enginuity’s impact through digital and external channels.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and resources.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery to market.
- Identify opportunities to partner with other organisations to deliver measurable impact.
Sustainable Income & Social Impact
- Support opportunities for grants, sponsorships, and partnerships to extend impact.
- Explore commercialisation opportunities for products and services while prioritising social impact.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in skills development, applying relevant insights to solution design.
- Proactively explore the use of AI technologies to enhance efficiency and innovation.
What we’re looking for
- Strong project management skills, ideally with a recognised qualification, and the ability to deliver successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with stakeholders.
- Critical thinking and analytical ability, with experience identifying and mitigating risk.
- Experience in developing and deploying digital or non-digital solutions.
- Strong analytical, data, and research skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and a genuine motivation to make a positive societal impact.
- Experience in solutions-focused roles, product development, or innovation management, ideally in the non-profit or social impact sector.
Other skills which would be desirable however not needed to apply for the role
- Experience in or alongside the engineering and manufacturing sector, with knowledge of sector-specific challenges.
- Knowledge and experience of working in the skills and education sector.
- Familiarity with and interest in emerging technologies such as AI and VR, particularly in education.
- Experience working with government agencies, industry bodies, educational institutions, or other stakeholders in skills development.

Remote/home based working at Enginuity
Your working hours will be 35 per week, working 9am until 5pm with a 1 hour lunch.
As a home-based employee you will fulfil your job responsibilities from home. Interactions with work and colleagues will be from a virtual environment. Depending on your role you will be required to either have some occasional travel or UK national travel. This travel will be required to allow you to fulfil different parts of your role and to meet colleagues on a quarterly basis. Other meetings that might require you to travel are events such as all colleague away days, training, and project work. Please review the advert to gain this insight to how much travel is expected. Also, ask at interview stage to confirm the frequency of travel and distance.
The company will provide you with the IT equipment required to carry out your role but it is a requirement that you provide all the necessary facilities for working from home; including broadband, home office, desk and chair.
