About the role
The Governance, Assurance & Continuous Improvement team within EAL (part of the Enginuity Group) play an important role in upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and excellence in our awarding processes. We are dedicated to ensuring robust governance frameworks, providing rigorous assurance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
Reporting to the Head of Governance, Assurance, & CI, as part of the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing both compliance incident response operations and ensuring adherence to company and regulatory compliance standards. Alongside this you will ensure proper documentation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and ongoing compliance monitoring takes place across our operations.
What you’ll be doing
Incident Management:
- Lead the incident response team during critical events, coordinating activities, communication, and escalation.
- Monitor trends and patterns to proactively address potential issues.
- Develop and maintain incident management processes and documentation, including response plans and communication protocols.
Compliance Oversight:
- Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify risks and non-compliance issues.
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify compliance vulnerabilities.
Risk Management:
- Assess and prioritise compliance risks across functions.
- Monitor and report on key compliance metrics to senior management.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare reports on incident trends, compliance status, and potential risks.
- Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and corrective actions.
Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance issues.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely, accurate information and adherence to internal/external policies.
Management Responsibilities:
- Role model values and behaviours as an inclusive manager.
- Coach and develop the team to achieve high performance, engagement, and wellbeing.

- Demonstrable experience in a similar role with proven track record of leading teams to deliver targets consistently and to high quality standards within an Awarding Organisation
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory conditions and embedding them within an awarding organisation.
- Able to build and maintain positive effective relationships across all levels of the business.

Remote/home based working at Enginuity
Your working hours will be 35 per week, working 9am until 5pm with a 1 hour lunch.
As a home-based employee you will fulfil your job responsibilities from home. Interactions with work and colleagues will be from a virtual environment. Depending on your role you will be required to either have some occasional travel or UK national travel. This travel will be required to allow you to fulfil different parts of your role and to meet colleagues on a quarterly basis. Other meetings that might require you to travel are events such as all colleague away days, training, and project work. Please review the advert to gain this insight to how much travel is expected. Also, ask at interview stage to confirm the frequency of travel and distance.
The company will provide you with the IT equipment required to carry out your role but it is a requirement that you provide all the necessary facilities for working from home; including broadband, home office, desk and chair.
