Salary: Up to £28,800 per annum (£48,000 FTE) DOE + £4,500 car allowance & benefits package

About the role:
The Engagement Lead plays a key role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with employers in the building services sector, reporting to the Industry and Portfolio Manager. With a deep understanding of industry needs and trade-relevant qualifications, this role is essential for fostering sustainable connections with employers, stakeholders, and providers. The primary focus is on employer engagement for T Levels and Technical Qualifications, ensuring that these qualifications, along with their content and assessments, remain aligned with industry standards. The Engagement Lead will advocate for the value of employer involvement, positioning EAL as a trusted partner in the sector. Ideal candidates may have experience in Further Education (FE) and teaching, seeking a dynamic opportunity to work with a leading Awarding Organisation and make a significant impact on skills development in the BSE sector.
What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of an employer recruitment strategy, focusing on the building services sector (BSE). You will actively seek and establish relationships with employers to create successful employer groups within the BSE trade areas, contributing to the validation of content and assessments. Additionally, you will support product research and development by gathering insights from industry stakeholders. Your advocacy will include promoting the value of employer engagement through presentations at regional and national events, webinars, and industry forums. By leveraging your existing industry contacts, you'll build strong relationships with employers and providers to enhance engagement. Staying informed on relevant regulatory, industry, and government policies will ensure compliance and relevance in all activities. You will collaborate with internal teams to refine EAL’s products and services, while also exemplifying the organisation's values by fostering a culture of respect and collaboration. Additionally, you may support providers at Centre-focused events, such as skills competitions and networking events, to promote EAL’s offerings.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a candidate with a strong knowledge of the building services sector (BSE) and its key players, alongside past teaching experience in the industry. A background in BSE employment is highly desirable, as is a working knowledge of the evolving Further Education (FE) landscape in England and a deep understanding of technical learning delivery in the FE setting. You should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, paired with clear and compelling communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as highly developed presentation skills. Confidence in engaging and influencing stakeholders during meetings and events is key, along with strong IT skills (MS Office 365 and adaptability to bespoke systems). The ability to take initiative, identify opportunities, and work collaboratively within a team and across departments is crucial.

- Higher qualification in BSE (Level 4 or higher)
- Electrotechnical bias
- Understanding of principles and practice of assessment

Remote/home based working at Enginuity
As a home-based employee you will fulfil your job responsibilities from home. Interactions with work and colleagues will be from a virtual environment. Depending on your role you will be required to either have some occasional travel or UK national travel. This travel will be required to allow you to fulfil different parts of your role and to meet colleagues on a quarterly basis. Other meetings that might require you to travel are events such as all colleague away days, training, and project work. Please review the advert to gain this insight to how much travel is expected. Also, ask at interview stage to confirm the frequency of travel and distance.
The company will provide you with the IT equipment required to carry out your role but it is a requirement that you provide all the necessary facilities for working from home; including broadband, home office, desk and chair.
