Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £39500 starting plus generous Car Allowance + Benefits. Salary increase to £41500 after 12 months upon successful performance achievement.
Home-based – (South-East England) with National and International Travel.
About the Role
We are looking for one EQA to join our Customer Service Delivery team at EAL. Your role will ensure exceptional service delivery by guaranteeing our customers adhere to regulatory requirements and quality standards. You’ll report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, ensuring that EAL's assessments are fully compliant across various regulatory contexts.
What you’ll be doing
As an EQA, your primary responsibility is to maintain consistent adherence to EAL quality assurance requirements and EQA national standards. This involves closely monitoring the delivery of services across the centres allocated to you to ensure they comply with EAL requirements. Doing so, you help guarantee that the services provided meet the necessary quality and compliance standards, contributing to the overall excellence of the organisation's offerings.
You’ll play a crucial part in shaping the future of the allocated centres. You will develop strategic plans for these centres, which are data-driven and designed to deliver a risk-based approach. Collaborating with stakeholders, you gather valuable input and insights to create and execute these plans effectively. Your strategic plans address various factors, including managing risks, maintaining compliance, managing registration volume, and ensuring excellent customer support.
Daily interaction with customers is a key aspect of your job. You will engage with them using various communication methods such as email, phone calls, and video conferencing. More importantly, you proactively seek to understand their needs and promptly address any queries or concerns they may have.
You will make use of in-house reporting systems, including tools like Smarter Touch, Connect, Microsoft software, and SAP, to document and share the outcomes of your engagements. By ensuring that reporting is done accurately and promptly, you contribute to transparent communication with both the Customer Service Delivery department and the customers themselves, allowing for informed decision-making and improvements.
What we’re looking for
- You will be an occupationally qualified Engineer with experience in assessment and quality assurance, hold the EQA award or be looking for development into the role of an EQA. You will be responsible for proactively engaging in your development to gain the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for the position within 12 months.
- The breadth and depth of your development will require you to undertake development activities across EAL business departments to provide a broad range of knowledge of EAL’s operations.
- A clean driving license and willingness to travel are essential.
Other skills which would be desirable however not needed to apply for the role
While not required for you to apply, if you hold the (TAQA) EQA award in external quality assurance it would be beneficial, we will consider those with the appropriate assessment and quality assurance units or A1 & V1 or D Unit equivalents. Additionally experience in the FE (Further Education) sector, work-based learning, or employer apprenticeships and endpoint assessment, along with knowledge of moderation and quality assurance processes, and familiarity with Engineering and sector qualifications would be advantageous.

Remote/home based working at Enginuity
Your working hours will be 35 per week, working 9am until 5pm with a 1 hour lunch.
As a home-based employee you will fulfil your job responsibilities from home. Interactions with work and colleagues will be from a virtual environment. Depending on your role you will be required to either have some occasional travel or UK national travel. This travel will be required to allow you to fulfil different parts of your role and to meet colleagues on a quarterly basis. Other meetings that might require you to travel are events such as all colleague away days, training, and project work. Please review the advert to gain this insight to how much travel is expected. Also, ask at interview stage to confirm the frequency of travel and distance.
The company will provide you with the IT equipment required to carry out your role but it is a requirement that you provide all the necessary facilities for working from home; including broadband, home office, desk and chair.
